**New hotel openings broaden China’s accommodation choice** China’s hotel landscape continues to expand beyond the major gateways, with the 155-room Financial City Chengdu – MGallery Collection now open in Chengdu’s Financial City. According to Travel + Tour World, it is the MGallery brand’s third Chengdu property and tenth in China, offering travellers a design-focused base in one of western China’s key tourism and business centres.[1] The opening adds another option for visitors combining Chengdu with western China itineraries, including Sichuan’s cultural and natural attractions. Accor says it has more than 230 hotels operating and over 140 under development across western China, while MGallery plans to double its Greater China portfolio to 20 properties by 2030, with future openings planned for destinations including Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Sanya and Lanxi.[1][2] **Wuxi gains a new heritage-led hotel** Wuxi has also welcomed Xi Zhe Wuxi, Curio Collection by Hilton, a 105-room property in the city’s Center 66 development. The hotel incorporates a restored 1933 residence alongside a new building, giving travellers a centrally located stay with a connection to Wuxi’s architectural heritage.[4] Wuxi is positioned in the Yangtze River Delta, with high-speed rail links to Shanghai and Nanjing, making the new hotel a practical option for multi-city itineraries. Travellers planning a regional trip can use Wuxi as a base between the major urban centres while adding local canals, gardens and cultural attractions to the itinerary.[4]Sources
