A new three-country route linking **Shymkent, Kazakhstan; Sanya, China; and Singapore** began service on 20 October 2026, giving Australian travellers another potential connection into Hainan’s tropical resort city. SCAT Airlines operates the route, with passengers able to board at any of the three stops.[4] Sanya’s Phoenix International Airport is the gateway to Hainan’s beaches, resort districts and tropical attractions. Travellers from Australia can consider combining the new service with existing flights to Singapore, then continuing to Sanya; schedules and transit requirements should be checked with the airline before booking.Sources
