Sanya’s **28th Nanshan Longevity and Blessing Culture Festival** opened on 18 October at the Nanshan International Intangible Cultural Heritage Centre, offering visitors a contemporary take on traditional Chinese blessings and longevity culture.[1] The programme includes classical and ethnic dance, solo performances, poetry and the Nanshan Forum on Blessings and Longevity, making it a strong cultural addition to a Hainan itinerary. The festival’s theme, “Dwell in Nanshan, Blessed with Peace”, connects traditional philosophy with modern wellbeing and cultural tourism.[1] Travellers can combine the event with Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone, although programme dates and admission arrangements should be checked locally before visiting; a one-day free-entry offer on 18 October applied to visitors aged 60 and over who presented a Chinese identity card.[1] Guangzhou will host the inaugural **DG Music Festival** from 15–18 November 2026 at Xinghai Concert Hall, bringing four days of concerts, exhibitions and artist events to the city.[2] The programme spans solo recitals, chamber music, vocal performances and cross-cultural collaborations, alongside talks, music salons, city walks and signing events.[2] For Australian visitors, the festival offers an easy cultural pairing with Guangzhou’s historic districts, Cantonese cuisine and Pearl River sightseeing. Tickets and individual event times should be confirmed through the venue or organiser before travel, particularly for the associated talks and public activities.Sources
