Beijing’s hotel scene is gaining a new accommodation hub near Universal Beijing Resort. The **“Jianguoli” hotel cluster** officially opened on 25 October at Wanli–Tingyun Town in Beijing’s Tongzhou district, bringing together four mid-to-upper-scale brands: Jianguo Puyin, Jianguo Bocui, Jianguo Bocui Courtyard and Jianguo Fiman. The cluster is designed to serve families, leisure visitors, cultural travellers and business guests, with the Universal resort nearby.[1][3] According to **China Travel News partner TTG China**, the four properties are positioned as a small urban holiday destination, combining accommodation with cultural experiences, non-heritage crafts, exhibitions and live performances. For Australian visitors planning a Beijing itinerary, the location could suit a stay that combines Universal Beijing Resort with the capital’s eastern urban development and cultural attractions.[3] More hotel supply is also planned across China. Upcoming projects include the **400-room Kimpton Guangzhou Pearl River**, planned within a beer-culture complex on the former Zhujiang Brewery site, as well as new properties in Shanghai, Xiamen, Wuxi, Nanjing and Hainan expected to open or begin trial operations from late 2026.[2][6] Travellers should confirm opening dates directly with hotels, as several projects remain subject to construction and operational schedules.
