Shanghai Disney Resort will open its third themed hotel, **Shanghai Disney Enchanted Star**, on 16 December 2026. Reservations begin at midnight on 6 November, giving Australian visitors planning summer holidays a new on-site accommodation option close to Shanghai Disneyland. The resort is also expanding with a fourth hotel, a Spider-Man-themed area, new attractions, dining and retail facilities. Travel + Tour World reports that the new hotel will sit beside the existing Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Toy Story Hotel.[3] Beijing has also added new accommodation capacity near Universal Beijing Resort. A four-property **Jianguoli hotel cluster** opened on 25 October in Tongzhou’s Wanli–Tingyun Town, combining mid-range and upscale brands with cultural experiences, exhibitions, performances and craft activities. The development is aimed at families, leisure travellers and visitors combining Universal Beijing with a broader Beijing itinerary, according to China Travel News partner TTG China.[1] For travellers, the openings point to more choice in resort districts and major tourism hubs. China Daily reports that China’s improving high-speed rail network, airport connections and growing range of accommodation are supporting business and leisure travel, with international hotel brands and boutique properties increasingly available beyond Beijing and Shanghai.[10]
